Almost done with the ALICIA era, the celebrated musician Alicia Keys returns with the new Swae Lee-assisted song “LALA (Unlocked).” It was co-produced by Mike WiLL Made-It.
The soothing track includes a brooding guitar and sometimes untamed drums that amplify the sexy vibe radiating from Keys and Lee. She sings of a lovemaking experience so good that she created a standing appointment on her calendar.
“Put it on me like you said you would / Fell so hard like you said you would / Love out of this world, out of this Nebula / It’s special, put you on my schedule,” she coos.
Speaking on the new song, Keys said, “This song is the beginning of a world you’ll never want to leave.”
“LALA (Unlocked)” follows the 20th-anniversary edition of Songs In A Minor, released in June.
As previously mentioned, Keys released her previous album ALICIA last fall. The original version, which made Rated R&B’s best R&B albums of 2020 list, was reissued three months later with two new songs.
The LP included the award-winning track “So Done” featuring Khalid. The song put Keys’ name in the Billboard history books, giving her the most No. 1s (12) on the Adult R&B Airplay chart.
In 2022, Keys will support the ALICIA album with a headlining tour. Tickets are available now. Before the future tour, a YouTube docu-series is slated to debut.
