Silk Sonic is back the top 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. The duo, composed of Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars, garners their second top 10 single debut on the popular singles chart as “Smokin Out The Window” enters at No. 8 this week.
They previously succeeded with “Leave The Door Open,” which opened at No. 4 in March 2021, and soared to the top position in early April. The nostalgic tune returned to the summit again in May.
With more than 21 million streams and 9,300 singles sold in its first week, “Smokin Out The Window,” the breakup anthem from their debut album, An Evening with Silk Sonic, is a fan-favorite among the LP’s nine tracks.
Speaking of the album, Rated R&B recently reviewed it, grading it with high marks for being a “sleek, well-produced album from masters of their craft.”
In other news, Silk Sonic is nominated for multiple AMAs and Soul Train Awards this year. They are scheduled to perform at the later ceremony, where they are up for three awards, including Song of the Year for “Leave The Door Open.”
