Maeta has shared a moody remake of Don Toliver’s current focus single, “Swangin’ On Westheimer.”

The emerging singer doesn’t shy away from the nocturnal vibe of the original, blurring the vocal lines between alluring and hazy.

“Don’t leave the house, baby / You gotta swing my way, but don’t believe the hype, babe / I’m always shady, so don’t believe the hype, baby / I might lie sometimes, don’t believe the hype, babe,” she coos.

This month, Maeta revealed in a post that she received more than 12.7 million streams on Spotify this year.

Many of those plays are likely attributed to Habits, an EP she released under her new deal with Roc Nation Records. The project features seven tracks, including the BEAM-assisted “Toxic.”

Maeta starred on Tone Stith’s most recent EP, Still FWM, on a song titled “Something in the Water.”

She also joined forces with Rini on the song “Over Some Wine,” which appears on his Constellations project. He spoke about collaborating with her in an interview with Rated R&B.

“I had my original verse as her verse, and I had to rewrite that for her,” RINI revealed. “It kind of turns into a male-female conversation, which made the song really cool. I haven’t met Maeta personally, but she heard the song and she loved it. She killed that.”
