Muni Long has added alluring freshness to her viral single “Hrs and Hrs” as part of Amazon Music’s Black History highlight reel.
Influenced by the sounds of jazz, this reimagined version, dazzled in live percussion and a saxophone, accentuates the sultriness of the original rendition as Long approaches it with much seductive ease.
Coinciding with the release of Long’s Jazzy Hrs edition, Amazon Music also rolls out its supporting music video.
Dressed in a beautiful pink dress, Long performs the new take after dark with a live band on a rooftop in downtown Los Angeles. Watch it below.
The original “Hrs and Hrs” is No. 19 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart after peaking at No. 16. Long’s breakthrough single spends a second week atop the Hot R&B Songs chart.
In her first late-night TV show appearance this week, Long gave a memorable song performance for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon viewers.
“Hrs and Hrs” is lifted from Long’s third EP, Public Displays of Affection. The eight-track project, which she broke down exclusively with Rated R&B, features the Ann Marie-assisted “No R&B” and “Ain’t Easy.”
Long is booked and busy in the coming months. She is scheduled to perform at the Broccoli City Festival in Washington, D.C., and Roots Picnic in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
