Following the release of her “DND,” Zyah Belle directs her energy to another new song titled “Not the One” featuring Tempest.
PBnJ and Timmy Manson produced the cutthroat banger, which also features a co-writing credit from LVRN’s Alex Vaughn.
The alluring tune finds Belle and Tempest forewarning suitors and anyone else that they’ll play nice if that energy is reciprocated. But if it isn’t, there will be hell to pay.
“I been a bad bitch since the day I was born / I ain’t even reach my full form / He can choose her if a ni**a ever torn / Wait- / Dat bitch boring,” Belle boasts.

“Not the One” is the second song Belle has released from her forthcoming album, Yam Grier, coming this fall. The album will follow Belle’s 2021 EP, Who’s Listening Anyway.
“Yam Grier is a representative of a woman that is reclaiming her time, agency over her body and voice through the generations,” Belle explains. “Inspired by Pam Grier’s fierceness that she emoted in her prominent ’70s blaxploitation roles, Yam Grier is the embodiment of a woman who has finally come into her own, unapologetically.”
On Aug. 10, Belle will hit the road for Alex Isley‘s headlining Marigold Tour in San Francisco, California. The tour concludes Sept. 3 in Chicago, Illinois. LAYA and Gwen Bunn will also perform on Isley’s tour presented by Femme It Forward.
As for Tempest, she released the song “Agua” in June. AUGUST 08, who recently released his Towards The Moon project, co-wrote the track on which LosHendrix, PBnJ and Matt Scheiner produced.
