It’s starting to feel almost like Christmas, thanks to Givēon’s faithful take on the irresistible holiday classic “The First Noel.”
His remake is part of Amazon Music’s exclusive Original songs series, a sweet balance between brand-new seasonal gems and a twist on festive favorites.
Givēon’s hearty cover just a couple of weeks after earning a platinum certification for his single “For Tonight.”
The song is lifted from his debut album, Give Or Take, and has sold over one million equivalent units in the U.S.
Give Or Take was released June 24 via Not So Fast/Epic Records.
“My debut album Give Or Take is a collection of reminiscences over the last few years of my life,” Givēon exclusively told Rated R&B.
“Suddenly having to adapt to a world in which there are so many eyes watching and experiencing a wide spectrum of emotions at once naturally brought these songs to the surface.”
Give Or Take opened at No. 11 on the Billboard 200 and No. 3 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart.
Last month, Givēon wrapped up his lengthy headlining Give Or Take Tour.

Around the time his tour started, Givēon shared a new original song called “Time,” which he co-wrote with Drake and Daniel Pemberton.
The melancholy tune is taken from the Amsterdam movie soundtrack, which is available in theaters.
“The depth and timeless feel of the record, as well as the incredible cast of talented actors starring in the movie immediately made me gravitate towards the film,” said Givēon.
“I grew up listening and studying Frank Sinatra’s music, so I was excited to convey my admiration while channeling the feel of this film through that sound. Being a part of this incredible record has granted me the opportunity to step outside of my comfort zone.”
Givēon is nominated for Favorite Male R&B Artist at the 2022 American Music Awards. The event will air live Sunday, Nov. 20, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
He is also vying for Best R&B/Soul Male Artist at the 2022 Soul Train Awards, which airs Sunday, Nov. 27 at 8 p.m. ET on BET and BET Her.
