Eric Bellinger has recruited rap icon Lil’ Kim and rising rapper Lola Brooke for the official remix of “Curious.”
Retaining the nostalgic production and a portion of Bellinger’s lyrics, the original Queen Bee makes an appearance ahead of Brooke with her classic rhythmic style, emanating seductive vibes and providing Instagram-worthy captions.
Some lines like “I told him this chess at its best / make the wrong move, then your ass getting left” are sure to captivate.
Lola’s verse exudes the energetic vibe of Brooklyn with her deep grunts, rapping, “And, to keep it a buck / Last n*gga was a dub / I ain’t trying to scare you away but I’ve been scared to love.”
Adding a new verse from Bellinger is an essential part of completing a remix.

Bellinger spoke exclusively to Rated R&B about his collaboration with Lil’ Kim and Brooke.
“Every artist’s dream is to have a song that becomes big enough to demand The Remix! In my case, the dream came true,” says Bellinger.
He adds, “I wanted to follow the same format as the original with the OG Legend Fabolous and New School Legend Cordae. So, in this case, we have the OG Legend Lil Kim and the New School Legend Lola Brooke! The females have been killin’ it, so it was only right that we blessed the people the right way! It’s an honor and a pleasure to be from the West Coast welcomed with such open arms to the New York Queens! They went so crazy I had to come with a new verse of my own to keep it fresh and spicy!
Lil’ Kim confirmed in September that she worked with Bellinger, during an interview with rapper Papoose on his SiriusXM show, The Drama Hour.
She shared that she got connected with him after actress Meagan Good insisted that he wanted to work with her.
The original version of “Curious” is lifted from 1(800)HIT-EAZY: Line 2, Bellinger’s joint album with producer Hitmaka. The track, which samples D’Angelo’s classic “Lady,” features rappers Fabolous and Cordae.
“Curious” peaked at No. 17 on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, No. 24 on R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, and No. 22 on Rhythmic Airplay, according to Billboard.
At this publishing, the original version of “Curious” has garnered over 4.2 million streams on Spotify. Meanwhile, the official video is nearly the four million mark on YouTube.
As noted previously, Bellinger collaborated with Hitmaka for 1(800)HIT-EAZY: Line 2, released in February. Singles included “Obsession” and “Decide.”
The former track, released as the first single and named after his headlining 2023 tour, received a remix with Muni Long.
Discussing the takeaway of his collaborative album with Rated R&B, Bellinger said, “I want this to be that forever refresher album for people. When you think of Brandy’s Full Moon, Usher’s Confessions, or Jagged Edge’s J.E. Heartbreak, this album will forever be fresh. Some albums just don’t have a date on ’em.”
He continued, “I think this is one of those because we were able to tap into the classic [sound] while still having the feeling that’s current. It’s real dope, man, from the features to the samples.
Recently, Bellinger has released new music, including “Find Someone,” a TikTok favorite. He also collaborated with Kevin Ross on “Ready For It,” which is featured on Midnight Microdose, Vol. 2.
Before, Bellinger joined Slim of 112 and Faith Evans on “Gotta Have Faith.”
Additionally, Ne-Yo’s new single “Link Up” features a co-songwriting credit from Bellinger.
