Fresh off the release of her debut album, Obsidian, Naomi Sharon has unveiled a visual for “Time and Trust.”
Directed by Sharon, the vlog-style video features a compilation of footage from her work and personal life. She takes viewers behind the scenes of photoshoots, to the stands of a sporting event, and the recording studio, among other places. She even sprinkles in webcam recordings of her posing in swimwear.
Sharon co-wrote “Time and Trust” with the song’s producers, Beau Nox and Alex Lustig. The two worked on the majority of Obsidian, which was released Oct. 20 via OVO Sound.
In Rated R&B‘s interview with Sharon, she shared what she hopes listeners will take away from Obisidian. “That they find a way to connect with themselves… to dig deeper [and] inspire them to see their own patterns when something resonates with them, and they hear my way of talking about it or coping with it,” she said. “I hope that inspires them as well to look a little bit better at their current stage in life.”
Obsidian includes the singles “Another Life,” “Celestial,” “Definition of Love” and “Regardless.”
Sharon recently hinted that a video for the album’s latest focus track, “Push,” featuring Omah Lay, is also on the way.
“Coming soon 👀 @Omah_Lay,” she wrote on X (formerly Twitter), along with a picture of them together in front of a blank wall. On Spotify, “Push” has garnered over 700,000 streams since its release (Oct. 20).
