Ciara has achieved a new RIAA certification for her 2018 single “Level Up.”
The high-octane motivational banger is now certified 2x platinum, with over two million equivalent units sold.
“Level Up” was the lead single from Ciara’s 2019 album, Beauty Marks, which she released independently via her company Beauty Marks Entertainment.
The J.R. Rotem-produced hit was originally certified gold (500,000 units sold) in May 2019 before going platinum that July.
“Level Up,” which has over 236 million Spotify streams, remains the highest-selling single from Ciara’s Beauty Marks album.

Beauty Marks was Ciara’s first album to be released under her independent label.
In a 2023 interview with Rated R&B, Ciara reflected on the lessons learned in her journey as an independent artist and businesswoman.
“What I learned is that being independent is truly empowering. I always knew it would be, but there is no better feeling than being in control of your vision and doing things your way,” Ciara told Rated R&B.
She continued, “The greatest lesson I learned is that I really can do anything if I put my mind to it and nothing is more beautiful than the direct connection I’ve built with my fans. I get to fully connect with them and feel the power and support of them through this journey.”

Ciara’s RIAA award for “Level Up” comes just a month after landing five new certifications from her debut album, Goodies.
Among her updated certifications were the album itself (now 4x platinum with four million units sold) and “1, 2 Step” featuring Missy Elliott, now certified 5x platinum. The latter is Ciara’s highest-selling single to date.

Ciara is on The Out of This World Tour with Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, and Timbaland.
Their upcoming tour stops include Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Denver, Austin, and Houston, to name a few. The tour concludes Aug. 23 in Rosemont, Illinois.
