Lucky Daye’s soul-baring single “That’s You” moves from No. 2 to No. 1 at R&B radio this week.
According to Mediabase, the D’Mile and Bruno Mars-produced track garnered 1,801 spins (from June 23-29) for an audience impression of 6.4 million.
“That’s You” unseats Keith Sweat‘s “Lay You Down,” which slips to No. 6 after a one-week run.
On Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart, “That’s You” rises from No. 2 to No. 1. It marks Daye’s first chart-topper as a lead artist and second No. 1 overall.
His previous visit to No. 1 was with Alicia Keys‘ single “Come For Me (Unlocked),” which spent two weeks atop the chart in June 2023.

“That’s You” was released Nov. 1, 2023, as the lead single from Daye’s third album, Algorithm.
He co-wrote the song with D’Mile, Bruno Mars, Austin Brown, and Mike “Hunnid” McGregor.
“I sang my heart out on ‘That’s You,” said Daye about the song’s creation. “I felt like I was on the moon. I want people to think about that one person they just can’t be without when they listen. Hopefully, that person is a good person.”
“That’s You” entered the Adult R&B Airplay chart in late January at No. 26, tallying Daye’s sixth entry.

Algorithm was released June 28 via Keep Cool/RCA Records.
The 14-track album includes the other singles “HERicane” and “Soft.” Additionally, the album features appearances from Teddy Swims and Raye.
On July 11, Daye will kick off his headlining Algorithm Tour at The Warfield in San Fransisco.
He will make stops across North American cities, including in Denver, Nashville, Toronto, Washington, D.C., New Orleans, and Dallas.
The tour concludes Aug. 28 at Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. Rising singer Fana Hues will join Daye as a special guest.
