Toni, Tamar, Towanda, Trina, and Ms. Evelyn Braxton are returning to reality TV.

We TV has announced The Braxtons will premiere on Friday, Aug. 9, at 9:30 p.m. ET on the network and on streaming via ALLBLK.

According to the logline, the eight-episode series will see the Braxton family reuniting on screen for the first time since their sister Traci Braxton passed away in 2022.

Additionally, viewers will see “Toni, Towanda, Trina, Tamar and Ms. E navigate careers, health challenges and busy personal lives while growing their family bond. Toni faces a critical health challenge as she prepares for her Vegas comeback. Trina starts therapy for PTSD. Towanda battles alopecia. Tamar focuses on her wellness journey. And Ms. E’s cooking show dream is becoming a reality.”

With the family reuniting on television, viewers will also watch as they address unresolved issues.

The Braxtons arrives three years after the end of their iconic series Braxton Family Values, which aired for seven seasons from 2011 to 2020.

“It is not overstating things to say this is one of the most significant developments in the history of We TV and a moment the fans have been waiting for since the final episode of Braxton Family Values aired on December 17, 2020,” said Brett Dismuke, We TV and ALLBLK’s head of content.

“The Braxtons are one of the founding families of reality television and We TV viewers were along for the ride through every moment of their original pioneering series, which spanned 148 unforgettable episodes. We are thrilled to welcome them back and once again be able to share these dynamic relationships and all the highs, lows, triumphs, setbacks and drama that fall in between.”

We TV will air two catch-up specials recapping key moments from Braxton Family Values on Friday, July 26, and Friday, Aug. 2, at 9:30 p.m.

Both episodes are an hour long and will recall “key moments, storylines and all the love, laughter and drama from Braxton Family Values.

The Braxtons is executive produced by Toni Braxton (Intonation Entertainment), Tamar Braxton (Tamar Braxton Productions), Trina Braxton, Towanda Braxton, and Evelyn Braxton.

Additional executive producers include Tara Long, Ri-Karlo Handy, Oji Singletary, and Michelle Kongkasuwan for Blink49 and Datari Turner for Datari Turner Productions.

In music-related news, Tamar Braxton recently teamed with Eric Benét for a steamy duet, “Something We Can Make Love To.”

Tamar released her solo single, “Notice Me,” on March 17, two days before her birthday. She co-wrote the song with Amber Dion Smith, Donald Sales, and Nyerere Davidson. “Notice Me” opened at No. 2 on Billboard’s R&B Digital Song Sales chart.

Last year, Braxton dropped her SWV-inspired single, “Changed,” which spent 29 weeks on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart, peaking at No. 2.

Meanwhile, Toni Braxton and comedian Cedric the Entertainer are co-headlining their Las Vegas residency, Love & Laughter, at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The residency concludes Dec. 21.

“Comedy and song have been at the heart of the human communal experience since the beginning of time, and we are thrilled to join on stage to bring that experience to the Cosmopolitan,” said Braxton and Cedric in a joint statement. “We could all use a little more love and laughter in our lives.”
