R&B trio FLO has announced their anxiously-awaited debut album, Access All Areas, releases Nov. 15 via Island Records.
“Access All Areas is a labour of love. To us it represents our growth and dedication to making girl group history, to making a project we are truly proud to call our debut album,” FLO says of their forthcoming LP.
Per press materials, Access All Areas will be executive produced by MNEK, a frequent collaborator of FLO, known for working with artists such as H.E.R., VanJess, Mahalia and Billy Porter.
Additionally, FLO’s upcoming album “delves deep into the themes of love, sisterhood and navigating life as three young Black women, offering fans an intimate glimpse into their experiences.”
At this time, FLO has not released a tracklist for Access All Areas. However, it has been confirmed that the album will include 16 tracks, including their 2024 singles, such as “Walk Like This,” “Caught Up,” and “Check.”
“Bending My Rules,” which was paired with the album announcement, will also be included on Access All Areas.
The harmonized-stacked track was produced by Camper (Usher, Coco Jones) and co-written by the song’s producer alongside Dixson (Beyoncé, Chxrry22). The song shows FLO moving away from the hot girl summer vibes to let their hearts flutter for their partners.
“‘Bending My Rules’ is such a captivating song and a softer side of FLO,” they explain. “It shows our vulnerability and it speaks to our current relationships with our boyfriends. It’s hard to be a baddie and a lover girl, but sometimes you just have to Bend Your Rules.”
To further promote “Bending My Rules,” FLO has partnered with Vevo for an in-studio performance of the track. It can be watched below.
Access All Areas is the follow-up to FLO’s 2023 EP, 3 of Us. Before that, the R&B trio shared their debut EP, The Lead, in 2022.
FLO will join Kehlani’s Crash World Tour as a supporting act starting on Sept. 7. The North American leg will kick off at the Armory in Minneapolis and include stops in Chicago, Toronto, Brooklyn, Atlanta, Houston, San Diego, and Los Angeles.
Emerging singer Anycia will also be a special guest on the tour, which concludes on Nov. 2 at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
