Songs from Ella Mai‘s surprise EP, 3, is seeing traction on multiple Billboard charts. In fact, all three tracks have debuted on Billboard.
The sentimental “Little Things” opens at No. 6 on the R&B Digital Song Sales chart, marking Mai’s ninth top 10 hit.

Elsewhere on Billboard, “Little Things” debuts at No. 15 on the Hot R&B Songs chart, which tracks the week’s most popular R&B songs, ranked by streaming activity, radio airplay audience impressions and sales data.
Further, the CeeLo Green-sampled “One Of These” appears at No. 20, and “Hearts On Deck” follows at No. 21 on the Hot R&B Songs chart. Mai now has 24 total entries on the chart, with seven top 10 hits and two No. 1s (“Boo’d Up” and “Trip“).
Ella Mai released her 3 EP on her 30th birthday (Nov. 3) as a treat to her fans who have been awaiting new music. “My 30th birthday gift to you all. 3 songs. november 3rd. one of my favourite numbers. i’ve missed you all, three times over,” Mai wrote in a social media post.
3 follows Mai’s 2022 sophomore album, Heart On My Sleeve. The album, which debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart, included features from Lucky Daye, Latto, and Roddy Ricch.
Mai returned in 2023 with a deluxe edition of Heart On My Sleeve, which included three bonus tracks: “2 O’Clock,” “This Is” and “Our Song.”
While Mai hasn’t announced a new album yet, press materials state her next chapter “captures her artistic growth with a cohesive theme of love and self-awareness, blending her signature R&B style with intimate, expressive songwriting.”
