SiR has joined forces with Top Dawg Entertainment’s in-house producer Kal Banx for a new track, “MOB.”
Over a laid-back production, SiR sends a warning to anyone who comes at him or his crew sideways.
“N—–s think I be playing / Put a couple n—–s on my hitlist / Better watch what you saying / You ain’t tryna get ignorant,” he calmly sings in the first verse.
SiR and Banx’s new track adds to the running list of collaborations, including “John Redcorn,” “You Can’t Save Me,” “Mood” and “LA” from 2019’s Chasing Summer.
“MOB” is the follow-up to SiR’s appearance on fellow TDE artist Ray Vaughn’s track “Everybody Dies,” released in September 2024.
Earlier in the year, SiR released his fourth album, HEAVY. The project, released March 22, included the singles “Satisfaction,” “Nothing Even Matters,” “Life Is Good” featuring Scribz Riley, “No Evil,” and “Karma” featuring Isaiah Rashad.
HEAVY featured additional collaborations with Anderson .Paak, Ty Dolla $ign, and Ab-Soul.

The album spawned SiR’s first top 10 singles on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart: “Nothing Even Matters” and “Poetry in Motion” with .Paak. The former is his highest-charting single to date (No. 9 peak).
In a 2024 interview with Rated R&B, SiR explained the importance of ending the ‘heavy’ album on a lighter note. “Very [important] because those kinds of songs describe where I am now. I was going through a lot. But towards the end of the creative process, the songs stopped sounding so heavy [and] a lot lighter. That’s the direction that I’m going in my life,” SiR shared.
He added, “This is about overcoming. The pain is visible, but I made it through the pain. I want people to see that first and foremost. I’m definitely on the other side of everything.”
The Inglewood native supported the album on his headlining Life Is Good Tour with his brother, R&B singer-songwriter Davion Farris, and labelmate Zacari as special guests.
In other news, SiR joined forces with Melanie Fiona to co-write her comeback single “Say Yes.”
As for Kal Banx, he recently produced multiple tracks on rising hip-hop star Doechii’s breakout mixtape, Alligator Bites Never Heal, released in 2024 via Top Dawg Entertainment. He also helmed a few tracks on ScHoolboy Q’s album, Blue Lips, also released in 2024 via TDE.
