Another R&B tour is coming next year. Black Promoters Collective has announced the dates for The Millennium Tour 2025.

Trey Songz, Omarion, and Bow Wow are at the top of the bill as headliners. The male-dominated tour will also feature Ray J, Sammie, Bobby V and Pleasure P, together known as the supergroup RSVP. Rappers Plies, Boosie, and Ying Yang Twins will join them on the road.

Rick Ross has been announced as a special guest, while Nivea will hold it down as the only woman on the lineup.

“We’re happy to bring The Millennium Tour 2025 to life, building on the energy and nostalgia our fans love while pushing the boundaries of live entertainment,” says Black Promoters Collective CEO Gary Guidry.

Presale tickets will be available Thursday, Nov. 21, from 10 a.m. to 11:59 local time with the code: BPC. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. local time.

The Millennium Tour first kicked off in 2019 with B2K as the headliner. A few acts from the initial tour are back on this year’s lineup, including Ying Yang Twins and Bobby V.

The tour picked back up in 2021 with Omarion and Bow Wow at the top of the ticket. The tour won a Top Rap Tour at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards.

In 2022, Mario, Keri Hilson, and Bow Wow headlined The Millennium Tour: Turned Up.

Omarion will support his latest albums, Full Circle: Sonic Book One and Full Circle: Sonic Book Two, which were released in 2023.

Sonic Book One included the singles “Big Vibez” and “Serious” and featured Sevyn Streeter, Amber Riley, BJRNCK, Rileyy Lanez, and Nah Nah.

“There aren’t many artists who can inspire positivity,” Omarion said about Sonic Book One. “Not many people can invoke that feeling of, ‘I feel good’ or ‘I want to do something with this.’ Through this project, I’m inspiring people. This is that full-circle moment of me coming back to a place where there’s power in my vulnerability. That’s what my music means to me at this time.”

Sonic Book Two, which was released in December 2023, featured his brother O’Ryan, BJRNCK, and Doctah B Sirius.

When asked to compare Sonic Book Two with Sonic Book One, Omarion told Rated R&B, “Sonic Book One is more of what I feel people want to hear. I think we are in a space where people want to hear upbeat music. They want to definitely get the R&B tunes, but maybe not so deep.”

He continued, “Sonic Book Two is more in-depth. It’s deeper. It’s needed to put the listener in more of a reflective state. When listening to Sonic Book One and Sonic Book Two, you have to be listening with this perspective of love [and] knowing yourself. We live in a world where social media props you up to live this perfect life [and] it’s not that way.”

Trey Songz Back Home
Atlantic Records

Trey Songz has been relatively quiet in terms of releasing music. In 2020, he released his eighth album, Back Home. The 22-track project included the Summer Walker-assisted title track, which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart.

Back Home included additional features from Ty Dolla $ign, Davido and Swae Lee.

“Back Home to me is filled with opinions, positions, realities and a deep introspective look into where I’m at in my life,” said Songz. “As an artist and new father, I want my music to be a true reflection of my evolution and my commitment to my fans to never forget where I came from. That’s why it’s entitled Back Home.”

RSVP – Ray J, Sammie, Bobby V, and Pleasure P – released their debut single, “Money Everywhere,” in December 2022. The single was said to be the first offering from their debut album. However, the group has yet to follow up with more material.

Separately, some members have kept their fans engaged with musical releases. In 2023, Sammie released his album L.A.W. (Love Always Wins).

“In creating my album, Love Always Wins, I wanted to challenge myself. At this point in my career when you hear the name Sammie, there’s a sound that comes to mind. It was time to push that forward and illustrate growth,” Sammie told Rated R&B.

Bobby V Live In Concert
New R&B album releases for Friday, May 29, 2024, including Bobby V’s “Live In Concert.”

This June, Bobby V released his first live album, Bobby V Live in Concert.

The career-spanning album included live renditions of Bobby V’s classics like “Slow Down” and “Anonymous,” his popular collaborations (Lil Wayne’s “Mrs. Officer,” Ludacris’ “Pimpin All Over The World”), plus a preview of a new song titled “Karma.”

“I am incredibly excited to share this live album with my fans,” said Bobby V. “It’s been an amazing journey, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to showcase both my classic hits and new music through this platform. I hope that listeners will enjoy this immersive experience as much as I enjoyed creating it.”

Pleasure P last released an album in 2021. Business Before Pleasure included features from Amara La Negra, Troy Ave, Popeye Caution, and Shifta.

In 2023, he returned with “Galaxy” under the moniker Marcus Ramone. Most recently, he co-wrote “Drip” from Jacquees‘ fourth album, Baby Making.

Since releasing his Emerald City EP in 2019, Ray J has collaborated with a few artists, including Marques Houston (“Stuck Like Glue”) from Houston’s Me: Dark Water EP.
