On Sunday night, H.E.R out-slayed herself with her debut Grammy performance. With her guitar in hand, the exclusive singer/songwriter delivered a rendition of “Hard Place” from her I Used to Know Her: Part 2 EP.
H.E.R., outfitted in a shimmering jumpsuit, gave us one of the most stirring performances of her career to date. Along with displaying her artistry, H.E.R. allowed a few other talented musicians to join in the on-stage fun.
Out of her five impressive nominations, the talented instrumentalist won Best R&B Performance (“Best Part”) and Best R&B Album (HER). Aside from trophies, she’s been winning on the charts too. “Could’ve Been,” off her I Used to Know Her: Prelude EP, became her third top 10 single on urban adult contemporary radio in January. The track has been remixed by the likes of BJ the Chicago Kid and Tone Stith.
In April, H.E.R. is slated to perform at the Coachella 2019, with Childish Gambino, Solange, Anderson .Paak, Ella Mai and Blood Orange.
