Monica’s new single “Commitment” is on the rise. Fourteen weeks after making its debut on the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart, the NOVA Wav-penned ballad reached the No. 10 spot this week.
This latest chart bookmark marks Monica’s sixth top 10 single on this airplay chart, and first since 2010’s “Love All Over Me,” which also went number one for four weeks. Mo logged her very first top 10 entry with her debut single “Before You Walk Out My Life” in 1996.
“Commitment” is the lead single from Monica’s upcoming album, Chapter 38, which is due later this year. The album, her first independent release, will also include her latest single “Me + You.” She has been in the studio working with Grammy-winning musician PJ Morton and Polow Da Don.
In July, Monica will join Brandy, Ashanti, Amerie, Keri Hilson and Lil’Mo for Live Nation’s Femme It Forward concert series.
