After securing first urban AC radio hit in nearly a decade, Monica is making her rounds on television.
The R&B vet visited The Wendy Williams Show on Thursday to perform her number one single “Commitment.”
Donning a chic outfit, Monica proved her mic was on, as she commanded the audience with all vocals in her very first televised performance of the NOVA Wav-penned ballad.
“Commitment” is the lead single from Monica’s upcoming album Chapter 38, which is about “love, joy, pain, heartbreak, redemption, and the ability to stand strong.” The love song is also her fourth chart-topper on the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart.
Chapter 38, the follow-up to 2015’s Code Red, will mark Monica’s first independent album to be released under her label MonDeenise Music, Inc. The LP will also feature her follow-up track “Me + U” and contributions from Tank, PJ Morton, and Polow Da Don.
