L’Oréal Paris, the world’s leading cosmetic brand, has recruited H.E.R. as their new global ambassador.
In assuming this frontwoman position, the Oscar and Grammy-winning singer-songwriter is tasked to utilize her influence to enhance the “strong and feminist values of the brand,” as outlined in their mission.
Honored to be part of the L’Oréal Paris family, H.E.R said, “Like so many women, @LorealParis is a brand I’ve known since I was a young girl, not just for their products (which I really do use!) but also for their beautiful mantra, Because I’m Worth It.”
She added, “That powerful statement is just as relevant today as it was when introduced to the world 40 years ago. I can’t wait to be part of helping to shape what it means for the next generation of women.”
The first L’Oréal Paris campaign starring H.E.R. will be for Elvive Dream Lengths Curls. It will launch in February.
Suppose you’re wondering what else H.E.R. is up to these days, she is supporting her title track feature from Kaytranada’s Intimated EP with performances such as the one on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Collecting new chart-topping hits is part of her 2022 domination, as well. H.E.R.’s “Come Through” collaboration featuring Chris Brown peaked atop of the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay chart, giving the stars the first number-one song on that chart of the year. It marked H.E.R.’s seventh overall.
The track is taken from H.E.R.’s critically-acclaimed debut album Back of My Mind, which Rated R&B praised as one of the Best R&B Albums of 2021. The LP also stamped nominations at the 2022 Grammys, including Album of the Year and Best R&B Album.
Back of My Mind is also up for Outstanding Album at the 2022 NAACP Image Awards.
One more thing: H.E.R. could look forward to a Best Original Song nomination at the 2022 Oscars if “Automatic Woman,” from the Bruised soundtrack, advances from the shortlist.
Nominations for the 94th Academy Awards will be announced on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022.
