Keyshia Cole has revealed her next album will arrive next year. The Grammy-nominated singer confirmed to a fan via Twitter that the follow-up to her 2017 album 11:11 Reset will be issued in 2023.
Cole initially had plans to release a full-length album last year, following the drop of her single “I Don’t Wanna Be In Love” in February 2021. The lovers-and-friends jam reached No. 11 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart, though she did not release an official music video.
Music executive Ron Fair, who had a heavy hand in Cole’s career, spoke exclusively to Rated R&B in December 2020 about her new music. “It’s so satisfying because she’s doing what we used to do [together],” Fair shared. “I did the first four albums with her, but the first three were really successful. We’re excited about this new stuff for sure. She’s sounding great.”
Last year, Cole shared that she was scrapping the material from the then-unannounced album and going back to the studio for new sessions. Those 2020 sessions included time with Lucky Daye and Elijah Blake. It cannot be confirmed if the single above will be part of the album scheduled to be issued under BMG.

Cole’s 11:11 Reset was released in October 2017. It was her first and only album for Epic Records. The 11-track effort included features from Remy Ma, French Montana, DJ Khaled, Young Thug, Kamaiyah and Too $hort. The LP was powered by “You,” which features the first two rappers, and the ballad “Incapable.”
Since then, Cole celebrated the anniversary of her 2010 album Calling All Hearts and participated in a Verzuz celebration with Ashanti. She also lent her talents to Blake’s 2021 album The Neon Eon and AB’s 2022 effort Paradigm.
Speaking of Blake, he shared the backstory of Cole’s 2013 single “I Choose You” in an installment of Rated R&B’s Board + Pen.
In September, Cole has a pair of concerts. She will perform at D-Nice’s Club Quarantine Live in Vegas on Sept. 2 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Labor Day weekend event, which is powered by Brand Nice and Live Nation Urban, will also feature performances from Jagged Edge, El DeBarge, Tank, Amerie and many more.
Then, on Sept. 18, Cole is set to take the stage at 107.5 WGCI Summer Jam in Hazel Crest, Illinois. Ari Lennox, Chlöe, dvsn, Tink and more are scheduled to perform as well.
