AMC Networks and ALLBLK have released a series of official trailers for Snap, a new psychological anthology created by Eric Benét and inspired by Black Mirror and The Twilight Zone. It premieres Thursday, Dec. 22, exclusively on ALLBLK.
The six-part limited series, directed in part by Devin Hampton and Courtney Miller, stars Benét, Tisha Campbell, Amiyah Scott, Michael Buscemi, Clifton Powell and more.
According to the synopsis, Snap will explore social and ethical dilemmas in engaging narratives that disrupt conventional opinions. Some of those issues to be unpacked throughout the series involve systemic racism, generational oppression, climate change and gender identity.

In each episode, A.O., an perfectly imperfect god, will offer a sense of morality to its protagonist. The hope is for he/she/they to see themselves through an external lens and hang loose their innate beliefs.
Benét is no stranger to the silver screen. In April, he starred in Greed: A Seven Deadly Sins Story, as part of Bishop T.D. Jakes anthology series on Lifetime. He appeared alongside Monique Coleman and Stephon Gardner.
In world of music, Benét has been inactive. His last album was a self-titled 2016 release. The album featured MC Lyte and Arturo Sandoval.
In a 2016 interview with Rated R&B, Benét explained the idea behind its title.
“This album, for me when I lived with it and listened to it, was such a great representation of me musically. Not only being on my own label, but just recording in my own studio on the time frame that I wanted to do it with the [people] I wanted to work with. The whole thing underscored everything about me creatively. It just seemed very appropriate for it to be self-titled,” shared Benét.
“Sunshine,” the lead single from his 2016 album, peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart. Its follow-up track, “Insane,” reached at No. 10.
Benét returning to Yoshi’s in Oakland, California, for a series of upcoming concerts. He’s performing back-to-back nights Feb. 14 and 15, 2023. He’ll finish out that weekend with additional shows. Tickets are available here.
On March 9 and 10, 2023, Benét will perform at City Winery in Atlanta, Georgia. Tickets are on sale.
