Victoria Monét made her BET Awards debut on Sunday evening.
The singer-songwriter, donning a beautiful brown ensemble, performed her single “Coastin‘” at the BET Awards pre-show.
On the eve of her performance, Monét shared her excitement on social media. Monét tweeted, “Y’all dreams come true!! So excited to be performing at the @BETAwards pre show tomorrow! AHHH😍🤎 tune in ✨.” She added, “This will be my first time going to the @BETAwards and my first award show performance ever 🥺 thank you God.”

“Coastin'” was released on Aug. 5, 2021. It was the second song she released that year, following “F.U.C.K.”
Monét has been prepping her next project, Jaguar II, the follow-up to her critically-acclaimed EP Jaguar, which was released in August 2020. Jaguar included the singles “Ass Like That,” “Moment,” “Dive” and “Experience” featuring Khalid and SG Lewis.
She recently went to Twitter to share an update on Jaguar II.
“Hii! Just wanted to say thank you for your patience with JAGUAR II. If you know me you know it isn’t without special reason that it isn’t in your ears already & i’m working hard to get it to you the best way!!! 🥰 I gotta say though, i think its better than part I 😌 respectfully,” Monét tweeted.

Monét will perform at Jay-Z’s Made In America Festival this September in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Other performers include Jazmine Sullivan, Snoh Aalegra, Tyler, the Creator and more.
