Babyface Shares New Song 'Game Over' With Queen Naija, Unveils 'Girls Night Out' Album Tracklist

Babyface has revealed the artwork and tracklist for his forthcoming album, Girls Night Out, which will release Oct. 21 via Capitol Records. It’s his first album on the label, after announcing his signing earlier this year.

Girls Night Out includes the previously released singles “Keeps On Fallin’” featuring Ella Mai and the Kehlani-assisted “Seamless.” The former, Tevin Campbell-influenced tune, co-produced D’Mile and Babyface, arrived in June ahead of the 2022 BET Awards, where they gave its first televised performance.

In terms of the charts, at the time of this publishing, “Keeps On Fallin’” has reached No. 3 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart. It marked Babyface’s second consecutive top ten hit on this list this year.

Girls Night Out, composed of an all-woman lineup, will also feature Ari Lennox, Tiana Major9, Sevyn Streeter, Coco Jones, Muni Long, Tink, Baby Tate, Tkay Maidza, and Amaarae, as well as radio and television personalities Angie Martinez and Lalah Anthony.

Additionally, Babyface’s labelmates Doechii and Queen Naija appear on Girls Night Out. Speaking of the latter singer, who just achieved her fourth No. 1 R&B single, was enlisted for the new track “Game Over.” The title itself relates to Queen Naija suspending a dead-end relationship.

Queen Naija sings in the second verse, “You finesse me into thinkin’ you were solid / All that sweet shit you was talkin’ wasn’t valid / You only think about yourself boy / You so selfish, and you childish / You don’t turn me on no more / Instead you turn me off.”

The legendary singer, songwriter and producer explained the concept behind Girls Night Out. “I am very excited about the upcoming album and everyone on it,” Babyface shared. “The process for it reminded me of when I did Waiting to Exhale and I’m excited for the world to hear.”

Girls Night Out will follow his 2015 album Return Of The Tender Lover. Released on Def Jam, the album debuted at No. 39 on the Billboard 200 and entered at No. 2 on the Top R&B Albums chart. It included the singles “We’ve Got Love” and “Exceptional.” The former track peaked at No. 9 on the Adult R&B chart.
