Alicia Keys’ latest single “Trillions” featuring Brent Faiyaz reigns at No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart this week (Jan. 28).
The song first appeared on the chart during the week of Sept. 3, 2022, and entered the top 10 during the week of Oct. 8, 2022.
Keys maintains her position as the artist with the most No. 1s on the Adult R&B Airplay chart with 13 No. 1s. R&B legend Toni Braxton is second with 11 No. 1s, while Charlie Wilson has the third most No. 1s (9).
“Trillions” is Keys’ fifth song with a male R&B act to reach the top of the summit. Her previous No. 1 was “So Done” with Khalid in March 2021. The song spent 30 weeks on the Adult R&B Airplay chart.

Circling back to “Trillions,” the bass-heavy banger is lifted from KEYS II, a deluxe edition of her 2021 double album, KEYS.
The two-disc album consists of an Originals side that leans into Keys’ signature sound and an Unlocked side, which includes remixed versions of the tracks.
“It speaks so much to just like there being no limits, which is what KEYS is all about,” Keys explained to Rated R&B about the Unlocked side. “It was all about imagining and dreaming in a way that just opened up the possibilities.”
KEYS and KEYS II are the follow-ups to the 15-time Grammy winner’s 2020 album, ALICIA. The album won Best Immersive Audio Album at the 2022 Grammy Awards, where Keys was also nominated for Song of the Year (“A Beautiful Noise”).
According to the Recording Academy, Best Immersive Audio Album goes “to the immersive mix engineer, immersive producer (if any) and immersive mastering engineer (if any).”
2022 was another monumental year for Keys: she launched her independent label (Alicia Keys Records); secured a brand partnership deal with Athleta; released a children’s book (Girl On Fire); embarked on her first headlining tour in nine years (ALICIA + KEYS World Tour); released three projects, including her first Christmas album (Santa Baby) and a live album (Apple Music Live: Alicia Keys); and had her debut album, Songs In A Minor, added to the National Recording Registry.
Faiyaz also had a solid year in 2022. His sophomore album, Wasteland, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the Top R&B Albums charts.
Released on July 8, Wasteland sold 88,000 equivalent units in the first week — the highest opening for Faiyaz to date.
Wasteland, which includes a feature from Keys (“Ghetto Gatsby”), was certified gold by the RIAA in December 2022 for selling 500,000 equivalent units.
Before that, in October, his single “All Mine” peaked at No. 1 at urban radio.
