Rising singer Raiche is back with her new EP, Loveland, via GDE/Island Prolific/Atlantic Records.
The 13-track offering includes the previously shared songs “Burn Your Clothes,” “Fool,” “Feelings,” “Big Daddy,” “Late Show,” and “Half & Half.”
The second pre-EP single, “Fool,” was the most therapeutic song on Loveland, according to Raiche’s interview with Rated R&B last summer.
“I’m kind of going through a situation where this song is kind of relevant,” she revealed. “I was going through it back then too, but I didn’t have the power in myself to walk away then.”
Raiche’s Loveland EP features another early track, which is a remix of “Pick A Side” with Ty Dolla $ign.
The original version of the song was released in September 2020 and became Raiche’s first top 10 hit on R&B radio, formerly known as urban adult contemporary radio. It peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart.
Raiche brings more heat in other tracks, but the title track stands out as the finale of the EP. About the song, Raiche told Rated R&B, “It’s kind of like an interludy type of vibe. It’s really cute and sexy — some innuendos in there.”
Additionally, during an interview with Rated R&B last year, Raiche discussed the writing and recording process of Loveland and how it helped her heal.

“I am such an open person. I wear my heart on my sleeve. I don’t care to sometimes be brutally honest and live my truth,” Raiche previously shared with Rated R&B. “I find it awful if I have to hold things back. It stresses me out. So it’s even more therapeutic in that sense where other people are like, ‘Wow. I went through that same thing’ or ‘I feel that emotion,’ or ‘you are speaking to me.’”
Raiche’s previous EP Drive, featuring “Complicated” and “Money Pies,” earned her critical acclaim and a spot on Rated R&B’s 11 R&B Artists to Watch in 2021 list.
