Award-winning singer and songwriter Coco Jones is winding down the year with a new milestone at R&B radio.

Her single, “Here We Go (Uh Oh),” rises from No. 5 to No. 1, becoming Jones’ first chart-topper on this Mediabase-powered chart.

“Here We Go” unseats Muni Long‘s “Ruined Me” after a one-week lead.

“Here We Go (Uh Oh)” is up by 560 spins, reaching a total of 2,269 this week, with an audience impression exceeding nine million.

Here’s a listing of the top 10 songs at Mediabase’s R&B radio this week:

    1. Coco Jones, “Here We Go (Uh Oh)”
    2. Muni Long, “Ruined Me“
    3. Chris Brown featuring Davido and Lojay, “Sensational“
    4. Eric Benét and Tamar Braxton, “Something We Can Make Love To“
    5. Usher featuring Summer Walker and 21 Savage, “Good Good“
    6. Tyrese, “Wildflower“
    7. Mary J. Blige, “You Ain’t The Only One“
    8. Psiryn, “Sober“
    9. Q Parker, “Beg“
    10. Maxwell, “Simply Beautiful“

The news of “Here We Go” reaching No. 1 follows Jones’ performance at the 98th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade last week, where she performed her new hit.

On Billboard, the Lenny Williams-sampled song has reached No. 2 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart dated for Dec. 7. Long’s “Ruined Me” continues to hold the top spot for a second consecutive week.

“Here We Go (Uh Oh)” initially debuted at No. 29 on the latter chart during the week of July 6, 2024. Before this, “Here We Go” claimed a top 10 victory at Mediabase’s urban radio.

“Here We Go (Uh Oh) was released May 3 via High Standardz/Def Jam. The Cardiak and Wu10-produced song samples Lenny Williams’ 1978 classic “‘Cause I Love You.”

Jones explained the inspiration for the song in an exclusive interview with Rated R&B. “I think the music inspired the song concept because I feel like with the sample, it feels like this orchestra and like a mystery,” Jones shared with Rated R&B.

She continued, “[It’s] like this mission is happening like 007 or something. I was like, ‘What could be the mission here?’ And the mission, I feel like, is to be free from this person that constantly comes back in — to get over that hurdle.”

Prior to its chart-rising thunder, “Here We Go (Uh Oh)” earned Jones two 2025 Grammy nominations: Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance. Music’s Biggest Night takes place on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025.

Jones, who was recently honored by ASCAP at its 16th annual Women Behind the Music event, is preparing for the release of her highly anticipated debut album, which will be released in 2025.

Other pre-album singles include “Most Beautiful Design” featuring Future and London on da Track and “Sweep It Up.”

For now, fans of Jones can listen to Coco By The Fireplace, a new EP featuring four original holiday compositions. She will introduce material from the project during her performance on NBC’s Christmas In Rockefeller Center on Dec. 4.
