Khalid’s got that Black Boy Magic. The 21-year-old superstar has been named Spotify’s most streamed artist worldwide as of Sunday, April 28.

The streaming sensation has acquired over 50 million monthly listeners, overruling Ariana Grande’s previous reign at the top of the audience chart. According to the streaming platform, monthly listeners are unique listeners who play an artist’s music during a 28-day period.

Khalid, who recently appeared in this year’s TIME 100 Most Influential People edition, is heading to the 2019 Billboard Music Awards to perform new music from Free Spirit, his sophomore album.

The new disc debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 after moving 202,000 equivalent album units in the first week. This marks Khalid first album to top the most popular albums chart, and makes Free Spirit the fourth-largest opening sales of 2019 for an album. The album is also landed the singer the biggest first-week sales for a male solo artist this year.

Prior to Free Spirit’s release, Khalid premiered a companion film in select theaters worldwide. He also pushed out several singles, including “Don’t Pretend,” “Self,” “My Bad,” “Better,” and “Talk.”

The singer recently called on Yo Gotti and Megan Thee Stallion to remix the last song.

On May 3, Khalid will perform at the 2019 Beale Street Music Festival. He will light up the Hangout Music Festival stage on May 18 in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

In June, Khalid will kick off his first-ever headlining North American arena tour, with special guest Clairo. His first stop is on June 20 in Phoenix.
