Toni Braxton moves to the top of the urban adult contemporary radio chart with “Do It,” overtaking Summer Walker’s “Playing Games” from the number one position.
The Antonio Dixon-produced single, which became the highest radio debut of her solo career, nabs the living legend her first urban AC chart-leader since 2018’s “Long As I Live.”
By reaching more than 13 million listeners, “Do It” has great potential to earn Braxton her ninth number one hit on the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay chart in the coming week. It has repeated its peak position at No. 3 since the tracking week of July 18.
“Do It” is the lead single from Braxton’s upcoming album, Spell My Name. Slated to arrive on August 28 via Island Records, the LP will include the upbeat heartbreak anthem “Dance,” as well as the Missy Elliott-assisted remix to her recent hit.
Spell My Name also will feature an appearance from Grammy-winning singer and musician H.E.R. Speaking of duets, Braxton recently joined forces with Kem for buttery “Live Out Your Love.”
