It’s K. Michelle season. What a pleasure it is to welcome the Memphis, Tennessee, native back to music after a two-year absence since 2020’s All Monsters Are Human.
Her return single, “Scooch,” is K. Michelle speaks about her stomach fluttering with butterflies for a new man she wants to get more acquainted with overnight.
Finding it hard to resist making a midnight drive to get some much-needed lovemaking, she does it anyway and hopes his bed has fresh linen for their session.
“Scooch” is announced as the first single from K. Michelle’s next and final R&B album, I’m The Problem, out later this spring. She teased us last month about the release, insisting that the ’90s inspired her.
K. Michelle hopes to create early demand for “Scooch” with an upcoming live performance on Friday’s (Feb. 11) taping of The Real. Check your local listings for times.
Even with all the talk about I’m The Problem, K. Michelle continues plans to release her oft-delayed country album. She said in a tweet that the album’s first single would be released in June after the R&B era.
Over recent weeks, K. Michelle has been getting tons of camera time, particularly on the Lifetime network. She has a series called My Killer Body with K. Michelle, which primarily focuses on the journey of individuals affected by faulty cosmetic enhancements.
K. Michelle also had a well-received role in Single Black Female alongside Amber Riley and Raven Goodwin.
