Things are about to heat up on the West Coast. Summer Walker has partnered with Live Nation Urban to curate a unique live experience dubbed A Hot Summer Night in LA. The one-night event will take place on June 24 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.
Named Billboard Women in Music’s 2022 Chartbreaker recipient, Walker will top the bill alongside Ari Lennox. Last year, the two linked for Walker’s Still Over It song “Unloyal” and performed it at this past Soul Train Awards.
Joyce Wrice and Alex Vaughn are also set to perform at A Hot Summer Night in LA.
Wrice recently supported Lucky Daye’s Candydrip Tour as the opening act She released the Kaytranada-produced and featured “Iced Tea” and appeared on Mack Keane and ESTA’s joint effort Intersections.
Meanwhile, Vaughn just released her Voice Notes EP. The LVRN/Interscope Records signee spoke all about it in an interview with Rated R&B.
Jazmine Sullivan is also featured on the lineup as a special guest. It is not yet defined the capacity of her role, whether she’ll perform tunes from her Grammy-winning Heaux Tales project or narrate the show somehow.
Tickets for Walker’s A Hot Summer Night in LA show go on sale this Friday, May 6, at 10 a.m. local time on ticketmaster.com.
In other Walker-related news, she dropped an extended version of “No Love” featuring SZA. It included a new verse from Cardi B, who also appeared on her sophomore album, Still Over It.
In addition to A Hot Summer Night in LA, Walker is scheduled to perform at other festivals this year: Broccoli City Festival in Washington, D.C., and Roots Picnic in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Lennox is also booked for the former fest, while Sullivan is a part of the latter.
