Beyoncé has earned 69 new certifications from the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America).
Her singles “Halo” and “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)” are now 9x multi-platinum with more than nine million equivalent units sold. Both songs appear on Bey’s Grammy-winning album I Am… Sasha Fierce, which has been updated to 6x multi-platinum.
Both songs won Grammys at the 52nd ceremony. “Single Ladies” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Additionally, both records represent her most certified releases in a lead role.

Beyoncé’s solo debut album Dangerously in Love exceeds 6x multi-platinum. Its lead single, “Crazy in Love” featuring Jay-Z, equals the same certified level as its parent album.
She earned a few more plaques for songs from her Grammy-winning 2003 album. The tracks “Baby Boy,” “Naughty Girl,” and “Me, Myself and I,” which were co-produced by Scott Storch, have been certified platinum for sales of more than one million. The original version of “Dangerously in Love” is now certified gold.
B’Day, the sophomore album from the music icon, is now cited as a 5x multi-platinum release. The set, released in September 2006, had a handful of songs to be newly certified:
- “Irreplaceable,” 6x multi-platinum (6 million copies sold)
- “Beautiful Liar” with Shakira, 2x multi-platinum (2 million copies sold)
- “Ring the Alarm,” platinum (1 million copies sold)
- “Déjà Vu” featuring JAY-Z, platinum (1 million copies sold)
- “Get Me Bodied,” platinum (1 million copies sold)
- “Upgrade U” featuring JAY-Z, platinum (1 million copies sold)
- “Listen,” platinum (1 million copies sold)
- “Freakum Dress,” gold (500,000 copies sold)
The platinum edition of Beyoncé’s self-titled 2013 surprise album is now certified 5x multi-platinum. The Jay-Z-assisted single “Drunk in Love,” which won two Grammys in the R&B field in 2015, is now certified 6x multi-platinum.
The fun single “7/11” and the Timbaland-produced “Partition” are both 4x multi-platinum. “Flawless” gets upped to 3x multi-platinum. Also, “XO,” named one of Beyoncé’s underrated songs by Rated R&B, crosses the 2x multi-platinum mark.

Beyoncé’s underrated 2011 album 4 is now fittingly 4x multi-platinum. The album’s lead single, “Run The World (Girls),” and Grammy-winning “Love on Top” receive the exact certification boost.
The other platinum awards from 4 include: “Best Thing I Never Had” (3x multi-platinum); “Countdown” (2x multi-platinum); “Dance For You” (2x multi-platinum); “End of Time” (platinum); “1+1” (platinum); and “Party” (platinum).
She also gained a gold award for “I Was Here,” written by Diane Warren.
The updated certifications for Beyoncé’s 2016 album Lemonade did not disappoint. The controversial single “Formation” and the stinging “Sorry” are now 3x multi-platinum, leading as the highest-selling tracks from the album. They’re followed by “Hold Up,” which is now 2x multi-platinum. The Weeknd-assisted “6 Inch” has reached platinum.
Lemonade also scored gold awards from the RIAA, including “All Night,” “Don’t Hurt Yourself” featuring Jack White, “Daddy Lessons,” “Freedom” with Kendrick Lamar, “Love Drought,” “Sandcastles” and “Pray You Catch Me.”
Beyoncé’s 2019 release, Homecoming: The Live Album, is now certified gold. The focus track, “Before I Let Go (Homecoming Live),” is certified gold.
Beyoncé’s other fresh RIAA honors include: “Check On It” (2x multi-platinum); “Already” (gold); “Black Parade” (gold); “I’d Rather Go Blind” (gold); and “Brown Skin Girl” featuring SAINt JHN, WizKid and Blue Ivy Carter (gold).
The massive delivery of certifications follows Beyoncé’s recent chart feats, including Renaissance topping the Billboard 200 with 332,000 equivalent units sold in its first week. It marks her seventh album to debut atop the main album’s chart, which is the most by any woman in its history.
Beyoncé’s “Break My Soul” rose to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, scoring the music icon’s eighth leader. The rest of the Renaissance album appeared on the Hot 100, which helped Bey become the third woman in the chart’s 64-year history to have the most appearances (81).
