The Weeknd has shared more details about his highly awaited new album, Hurry Up Tomorrow.
The R&B-pop superstar has announced his sixth album will release Jan. 24, 2025, via XO Records/Republic Records.

Hurry Up Tomorrow will include the previously shared singles “Dancing In The Flames,” “Timeless” featuring Playboi Carti, and “São Paulo” featuring Anitta.
Of the singles released so far, “Timeless” appears to be dominating with over 252.7 million Spotify streams so far, compared to 117 million for “Dancing In The Flames” and 69.3 million for “São Paulo.”
“Timeless,” produced by Pharrell Williams, debuted at No. 1 on multiple Billboard charts:

At the time of this writing, “Timeless” is No. 1 on the following R&B-driven charts: Hot R&B Songs (seven weeks at No. 1 so far), Rhythmic Airplay (two weeks at No. 1 so far), and Hot R&B Songs (six weeks at No. 1 so far).
Hurry Up Tomorrow is the final installment of The Weeknd’s album trilogy that started with 2020’s After Hours and was followed by 2022’s Dawn FM.
According to press materials for Hurry Up Tomorrow, “This album represents the creative apex of the project, serving as the third and final chapter crafted with existential and self-referential themes as seen with the latest visionary teasers that have set fans ablaze with anticipation for this concluding installment.”
As indicated above, the trilogy began with After Hours, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
The album included the hit single “Blinding Lights,” produced by Max Martin. The song spent four weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100 and has garnered over 4.5 billion streams on Spotify.
After Hours also included songs like the title track, “Heartless” and “Save Your Tears.”
In January 2022, The Weeknd returned with Dawn FM, which debuted at No. 2 and included the singles “Take My Breath,” “Sacrifice,” and “Out of Time.” The album also included appearances from the late Quincy Jones, Lil Wayne, Tyler, the Creator, Oneohtrix Point Never, and Jim Carrey.
In other news, Hurry Up Tomorrow shares the title of an upcoming thriller starring Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye. Per Deadline, the Trey Edward Shults-directed film also stars Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan.
Adam Fogelson, chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, told Deadline: “Abel is a visionary whose art cannot be confined by any single medium. With Hurry Up Tomorrow, in partnership with Trey, his musical universe expands onto the big screen with a psychological thriller that will usher in a new cinematic experience for fans. We are thrilled to be bringing it to audiences worldwide.”
A release date for the film has not been announced at this time.
On Jan. 25, 2025, The Weeknd will headline a one-night-only concert at Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California. Tickets go on sale Monday, Dec. 2, at 10 a.m. PT at theweeknd.com.
