Production duo The Colleagues have joined forces with rising R&B star October London for a new track, “Click Flash.”

Arriving just ahead of summer bliss, “Click Flash” is a two-step-friendly groove bound to liven up cookouts, family reunions and warm-weather gatherings.

“All my people around me / I love them all, yes I do / DJ speakers are pounding / Camera flashes all around the room,” October London sings in the first verse.

Regarding the new collaboration, Karl “KP” Powell of The Colleagues tells Rated R&B: “October and I got together and talked about what we feel is missing in R&B music and one of the things was ‘feel-good, having fun music.'”

“Click Flash” is the first single from The Colleagues’ upcoming collaborative album featuring October London. They recently teamed with London on “Like I Know God” from Death Row Records’ gospel compilation album, Altar Call, released in April.

The Colleagues are no strangers to working with R&B artists. In 2019, they released their album Another Love Story, which featured all male R&B acts, including Raheem DeVaughn, Vedo, Devon Culture, The HamilTones and Devvon Terrell. The following year, they released their album Love Dates and Heartbreaks, featuring all women in R&B, including Tiffany Evans.

In 2020, The Colleagues and DeVaughn released their joint album, What A Time To Be In Love, which included the sultry single “Mr. Midnight.” After dropping Love Lust Vulnerability (2022), The Colleagues and DeVaughn reunited in 2023 for Love Euphoria, along with collaborator and saxophonist Vandell Andrew.

As for October London, the “Back To Your Place” singer released his second album, October Nights, in October 2024. The album included the singles “She Keeps Calling,” “All I Want Is You” with Boney James and “A Beautiful Woman.”

“October Nights represents having a good time in the nighttime and letting loose,” London told Rated R&B.

He also described it as a “transitional album” from his 2023 debut, The Rebirth of Marvin. “You’re going to get less Marvin. You’ll get more of me. It’s time for me to shine now,” he shared.

London is currently co-headlining the October Nights: Calling All Lovers Tour with Tamar Braxton. They’re in Detroit tonight (May 23), with upcoming stops in Cleveland, New York, Los Angeles and Phoenix, before wrapping up May 31 in Oakland.
