Givēon is ready to bring the heat this summer with his sophomore album. The Grammy-nominated singer has revealed his second LP, BELOVED, will release July 11 via Not So Fast/Epic Records.
The 14-track album, executive produced by Sevn Thomas, will include the singles “Twenties” and “Rather Be.”
“BELOVED, the sophomore album, July 11th. I spent over a thousand days crafting this for you and for myself,” Givēon wrote in an Instagram caption for the official cover art. “Excited for you to see my growth not only as an artist but also as a man. I’ll never take your patience for granted. See you soon.”
BELOVED is the follow-up to Givēon’s debut album, Give Or Take, released June 24, 2022. The album, which debuted at No. 11 on the Billboard 200 chart, included the singles “For Tonight,” “Lie Again” and “Lost Me.”
He told Rated R&B, “My debut album, Give Or Take, is a collection of reminiscences over the last few years of my life. Suddenly having to adapt to a world in which there are so many eyes watching and experiencing a wide spectrum of emotions at once naturally brought these songs to the surface.”
The Long Beach, California, native supported his first album on his headlining Give Or Take Tour.
Prior to his debut album, Givēon released his first two EPs in 2020, TAKE TIME and When It’s All Said And Done. The former included his breakout hit “Heartbreak Anniversary,” which now has over 1.3 billion streams on Spotify, plus strongsuits like “The Beach” and “Favorite Mistake.”
When It’s All Said And Done, a four-track set, included standouts like “Stuck On You” and the Snoh Aalegra-assisted “Last Time.”
In 2021, Givēon combined both projects, aptly titled When It’s All Said And Done… Take Time, and included the bonus track “All To Me.”
Circling back to BELOVED, the approaching album is available for presave and preorder. According to Givēon’s official webstore, BELOVED will be available digitally, as well as on vinyl and CD.
