Jermaine Dupri is back with his YouTube series Living the Life. The great producer and hit maker showcases exclusive behind the scenes footage from his private studio sessions as he mixes up new music material.
Living the Life returns with Dupri’s Monday session with pregnant songstress Monica, as she returns back to the studio working on her future project. Monica had previously been working in the studio with Miguel and now is continuing through her pregnancy on her new music.
Gathered at a table with food and plenty of water for the soon mother-to-be of three, Monica and Dupri prepare to make magic in the studio, but not without a little fun of course. Monica jokes about her being pregnant in the studio and says, “Last time I was pregnant we had a top 10 hit, so this is a good thing…I work like a soldier pregnant or not.”
Bryan Michael Cox also appears in the video footage as he helps Monica lay down vocals, with Monica joking that he is in “her space”. Bryan Michael Cox, Monica and Dupri create a great atmosphere of love, music, fun and good conversation in the studio.
The trio discuss interesting life issues about baby mama’s, men taking care of their children and the role of a man and woman in relationships/households.
“Guys think good girls are no fun, but good girls are always where they run when trouble comes,” Monica says as she tells it how it is on being a wife and mother.
The release date on Monica’s new album has not been revealed as the album is still in the works.
