With a fondness for creating stirring visuals, Mereba has released a riveting video for “Heatwave” featuring 6LACK.
The bittersweet visual, conceptualized by Mereba along with creative director Eseraele Alemu, documents the long history of police brutality, to natural disasters and people captured from their native land.
While both Mereba and 6LACK are missing from the black-and-white video, their emotive energy is very present.
The symbolic and political video for “Heatwave” is in support of her debut album, The Jungle is the Only Way Out, which is available now. Back in July, she released a video for the JID-assisted track “Sandstorm.”
