Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Daniel Caesar has released his third album, Never Enough. It’s his first album for Republic Records.
In a recent interview with Nadeska Alexis of Apple Music, Caesar shared the intent behind his music creation.
“I want to make music that leads people somewhere as opposed to music that can pacify them or make them feel good,” he explained. “I want to make music that makes people want to change their life. Truly inspiring music.”
Never Enough includes the previously shared “Valentina,” “Let Me Go” and “Do You Like Me?” Caesar recently performed the latter track on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Ty Dolla $ign, serpentwithfeet, Omar Apollo and Mustafa all appear on the album as special guests.
Caesar will support Never Enough on his headlining Almost Enough: The Intimate Sessions Tour. The brief tour begins April 6 in Los Angeles, California, and concludes overseas April 22 in Berlin, Germany.
“I decided to have an intimate tour before the real tour kicks off,” Caesar wrote in a social media post. “A chance for me to sing the album to a select few fans that have really been here since the beginning. Excited to connect with each and every one of you.”
Never Enough is the follow-up to Caesar’s 2019 sophomore album, CASE STUDY 01. The LP featured the Grammy-nominated, chart-topping duet “Love Again” with Brandy. The song was certified gold by the RIAA, as well as “Cyanide,” for selling over 500,000 equivalent units.
Caesar released his debut album, Freudian, in 2017. The platinum-selling album spawned two No. 1 singles, “Best Part” with H.E.R. and “Get You” featuring Kali Uchis. The latter track is 4x multi-platinum, while the former duet, 6x multi-platinum, won Best R&B Performance in 2019 at the 61st Grammy Awards.
