Chris Brown’s hit single “Sensational” continues to hold the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart for a third consecutive week.
The Afrobeats-infused single, featuring Nigerian artists Davido and Lojay, remains Brown’s third-biggest hit on this chart, following “Go Crazy” and “No Guidance,” which had a seven and 11-week run, respectively.
“Sensational” first reached the top of the airplay chart on the week of Aug. 24, giving Brown his fifth chart-topper and seventh top 10 hit. It’s the first time Davido and Lojay have achieved a No. 1 on this chart.
Here’s a list of Chris Brown’s No. 1 hits on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart, ordered by longest run:
- “No Guidance” featuring Drake, 11 weeks at No. 1 (2020)
- “Go Crazy” with Young Thug, 7 weeks at No. 1 (2020)
- “Sensational” featuring Davido and Lojay, three weeks at No. 1 so far (2024)
- “Come Through,” H.E.R. featuring Chris Brown, one week at No. 1 (2022)
- “See Through Love,” Tank featuring Chris Brown, one week at No. 1 (2023)
Brown’s song “Sensational” seems to have gained a strong foothold on Adult R&B Airplay. It stayed on top for only one week on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay in March 2024.
Additionally, the DJ Hardwerk-produced track achieved the No. 3 slot on R&B Digital Song Sales and rose to No. 6 on Hot R&B Songs.
On the Billboard Hot 100, “Sensational” reached No. 71, marking one of his 118 entries on the singles chart. Brown’s most recent entry, “Residuals,” a fan-driven single, peaked at No. 97 the week of Aug. 24.
While “Sensational” has held the top spot on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart for three weeks, it is also enjoying a second week at No. 1 on R&B radio, with Usher‘s year-long single “Good Good” at No. 2.
Brown’s award-winning single continues to lead at R&B radio despite a 5.9% decrease in audience impressions from last week. It did, however, have a 90-spin rise from last week.
R&B radio aside, “Sensational” has been at the head of two other Mediabase-monitored radio charts this year, including rhythmic and urban.
“Sensational,” with over 84 million Spotify streams, is featured on Brown’s 11th studio album, 11:11. The album has two versions: a standard release and an expanded edition.
The latter, 11:11 (Deluxe), includes 13 bonus tracks, one of which is “Residuals.”
Brown supported both 11:11 editions during his headlining tour with the same title this summer. The North American leg ended on Aug. 7 with special appearances by Muni Long, Maeta, and Ayra Starr.
