Six months after dropping his debut album, The Awakening, Kevin Ross returns with a brand new EP titled Drive.
Ross takes listeners on a smooth ride over a course of six tracks. He begins the short trip with a mid-tempo “Cruise” before arriving at the reggae-inspired “Representa.” On “Prototype,” Ross puts his own spin on Andre 3000’s classic track, which appeared on his 2004 album, The Love Below.
The EP stops at “Black James Dean,” where he pours his emotions on the track. “So I keep on burning out at top speed / I feel like I’m James Dean / When you’re not around me / You’re burning out at top speed / Wreckless like I’m James Dean / ‘Cause I don’t wanna crash and burn,” he sings.
