R&B veteran Kenny Lattimore and his wife Faith Jenkins have announced they are having a baby.

The couple, who got married in 2020, shared the exciting news on Instagram. They posted a photo of them together with Jenkins’ baby bump on display.

“Faith and I are so happy to share that we are expecting a little baby Lattimore!! We are so excited for this next chapter of our lives,” Lattimore wrote in an Instagram caption.

He added, “Faith: it is a dream to do life with you everyday and you are going to be the best mother and biggest blessing to our baby’s life in every way. I love you! @judgefaithjenkins.”

Jenkins shared, “Kenny as I’ve told you countless times over the last three years I simply could not ask for a better husband and life partner and – now – father to our soon-to-be little human!!”

This is Lattimore and Jenkins’ first baby together and Lattimore’s second overall. He has a 19-year-old son, Kenny Lattimore, Jr., from his previous marriage with singer Chanté Moore.

As noted above, Lattimore and Jenkins got married in 2020. In an interview with Essence, they shared how they met each other through super-producer Aaron Lindsey.

After six months of dating, Lattimore proposed to Jenkins. He knew that she was the one.

“There were about 28 different core values that I [wrote down], and Faith lined up with all of them,” Lattimore told Essence.

“A lot of times people fall in love and it’s just emotional. But they find out later on that they don’t like each other. I like her and all the small details. [Our relationship] didn’t feel like work.”

In December 2021, Lattimore released his 10th studio album, Here To Stay. The album includes Lattimore’s singles “Lose You” and “Pressure.”

“I hope people discover it or take away that love is here to stay,” Lattimore told Rated R&B in an interview when asked what he hopes listeners will take away from the album.

“It’s not just a cliché because so many people sing about it. I hope that people get this passion that I have for singing a love song, and they say, ‘You know what? This guy is really committed to this because it’s authentic. It’s real for him.'”

He added, “I hope it gives them hope and encouragement that if you want to be in love, sometimes these are the elements that keep love alive: the sacrifice of ‘All In,’ the optimism of ‘Never Knew,’ the confidence of ‘Lose You.’ Understanding who you are and what you’re bringing to a relationship.”

In the same interview, he also talked about how he and his wife are each other’s biggest cheerleaders.

“It feels like this is the epitome of partnership,” described Lattimore. “When you choose a great person you’re on the same page and compatible with, the result is two people who are whole.

It’s organic communication and connection for both of us. We’re about team. What’s the best thing for the team right now? Having that concept with a person means everything in the world.”

Lattimore recently announced “Take a Dose” as the latest single from Here To Stay, and he released a video directed by Chico Benymon.

Of the visual, he shared, “When my friend Chico Benymon heard the song, he immediately had a concept idea that I loved.”

He added, “It was showing women in a spa-like galaxy, called ‘The Cure,’ where they can select ‘The Lattimore Experience,’ which allows them to overcome the feelings of fear, rejection, loneliness, etc. I instantly knew this was it.”
