Lucky Daye has announced that his sophomore album Candydrip is coming to vinyl this fall. The Grammy winner’s 2022 album will be available Oct. 21 as a double LP for the first time.
Target, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Elusive Disc and Music Direct are among the first retailers to allow fans to pre-order Candydrip on 2LP. Vinyl prices range from $26.99 to $33.99.
Daye released Candydrip on March 10 via Keep Cool/RCA Records. The album followed his 2019 debut album, Painted, plus his Grammy-winning project, Table for Two, comprised of male-female duets.
Preceded by the Musiq Soulchild-influenced “Over” and the Lil Durk-assisted “NWA,” Candydrip marked his first appearance on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart, debuting at No. 5. The set also entered the Billboard 200 at No. 69.
The album’s first single, “Over,” premiered in Sept. 2021 with an accompanying visual that co-starred Jordyn Woods. The song showed up on the Billboard Hot 100 the tracking week of April 2 and eventually peaked at No. 77 in the following issue.

Since releasing Candydrip, Daye won a Grammy for Progressive R&B Album (Table for Two). He also collaborated with a congregation of artists on their 2022 albums and projects, including Syd’s Broken Hearts Club, Ella Mai’s Heart On My Sleeve, Col3trane’s Lush Life, Alicia Keys’ Keys II, and most recently, Megan Thee Stallion’s Traumazine. He also joined producer Mark Ronson for the new song “Too Much.”
But, speaking of Keys, the 15x Grammy winner released a video for “Come For Me (Unlocked),” on which features Daye and Khalid.
