Tank logs his third consecutive top ten hit from his final album R&B Money on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart this week (Sept. 3). His J. Valentine-assisted single “Slow” places No. 10 in its 11th week, following the chart-topping victories of “I Deserve” and “Can’t Let It Show.”

With his latest recognition and two previous No. 1s on the Adult R&B list, R&B Money marks Tank’s first album to produce more than two top ten singles. His 2019 album Elevation had two songs to reach the top ten region, one of which (“Dirty“) peaked atop the chart for three weeks.

On Adult R&B, Tank has 13 top ten singles to his credit. Along with “Slow,” Tank netted one earlier this year for “Don’t Rush” with rising singer J. Brown. The latter, collaborative jam, stands at No. 9 this week after peaking at No. 7 earlier this month.

J. Valentine, an occasional singer and Tank’s manager, strikes his first top 10 with “Slow.” For him and Tank, the sensual tune has chalked up more than 517,000 streams on Spotify since its June 10 release.

As mentioned above, Tank released R&B Money on Aug. 19, citing it as his farewell record after ten albums. The 17-track album features appearances by Chris Brown, Alex Isley, Vedo, and Rotimi, among others.

Rated R&B’s Antwane Folk described R&B Money as “a consolidation of music made for love-making,” noting it’s “a forte of Tank that has improved over time.”

“I wanted this album to pay homage to my influences and my evolution as an artist, and I think that’s what this final album represents,” Tank shared in a press statement. Marvin Gaye, Teddy Pendergrass, Keith Sweat and Al Green were among the inspirations mentioned in cooperation with his quote.

On Sept. 2 and 3, Tank heads to Las Vegas, Nevada, to play D-Nice’s Club Quarantine Live in Vegas concert. Jagged Edge, Keyshia Cole, El DeBarge Ashanti, and many more. Then, on Sept. 17, he’ll join Anthony Hamilton for a show at Arena Theatre in Houston, Texas. Get more information on tickets here.
