Summer Walker has hit the jackpot with 18 new certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
“Girls Need Love,” Walker’s 2018 hit song, has been upped to 7x multi-platinum, with over seven million equivalent units sold. It remains Walker’s most successful song in RIAA history to date.
The track was later released as a remixed single featuring Drake in early 2019 and is part of Walker’s debut project, Last Day of Summer.
In October 2023, Walker released a maxi-single of “Girls Need Love” featuring four new variations, three of which included women artists such as Victoria Monét, Tyla, and Tink.
“Playing Games,” a song that heralded her 2019 debut album, Over It, has now achieved 5x multi-platinum status, with five million equivalent units sold.
By the way, Over It has reached triple platinum status, further solidifying its position as her best-selling album. The chart-topping album also earned additional RIAA honors, including:
- “Body,” 2x multi-platinum (2 million equivalent units)
- “Drunk Dialing…LODT,” gold (500,000 equivalent units)
Walker’s 2021 sophomore album, Still Over It, adds another platinum project to her collection. A few of the album’s songs have also landed new awards.
The SZA-assisted “No Love” is now double platinum, with two million equivalent units sold. An extended version features rapper Cardi B.

Here are the other newly certified songs from Still Over It:
- “Bitter (Narration by Cardi B),” gold (500,000 equivalent units)
- “Throw It Away,” gold (500,000 equivalent units)
- “Reciprocate,” gold (500,000 equivalent units)
- “4th Baby Mama,” gold (500,000 equivalent units)
Three of Walker’s new certifications are from her 2020 EP, Life On Earth.
“My Affection,” on which PARTYNEXTDOOR is featured, and “White Tee” with NO1 – NOAH, have both been upped to platinum.
Furthermore, “Let It Go” has been certified gold, selling over 500,000 equivalent units.

Walker’s 2019 EP CLEAR and its Grammy-nominated sequel CLEAR 2: SOFT LIFE, released in 2023, have each received new RIAA awards.
“Riot,” from the 2019 release, and “To Summer, From Cole (Audio Hug)” featuring rapper J. Cole, taken from the 2023 set, have both been certified gold.
“Session 32,” a deep cut from 2018, is certified 2x multi-platinum with two million equivalent units sold.
Finally, “Karma,” which became Walker’s first No. 1 on urban radio, is also certified platinum. The sleeper hit was lifted from the singer and songwriter’s Last Day of Summer EP.
Walker’s new certifications comes after she teased new music on her social media in August. There’s no word on when she will make her official return to the genre’s scene.

Speaking of 21 Savage, Walker appears across other Billboard and radio charts for the rapper’s track “Prove It” from his 2024 album, American Dream. She teamed up with Tink for “Songs For You,” which is lifted from Winter’s Diary 5.
