Coco Jones has earned a new No. 1 hit on Billboard.

The Grammy winner’s current radio single “Here We Go (Uh Oh)” rises from No. 2 to No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart, ending Muni Long‘s two-week reign with “Ruined Me.” It’s Jones’ first leader on this chart.

Jones nearly captured the top spot of this chart last year with her breakout song “ICU,” another radio favorite. The Camper-produced track reached No. 2 in September 2023.

It is important to note that “ICU,” a platinum seller, topped several charts, including urban radio, Billboard’s R&B Digital Song Sales, and the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. On the latter, it held the No. 1 title for four consecutive weeks.

Jones’ other entry on the Adult R&B chart is “Spend The Night,” a BJ The Chicago Kid song featuring her, which peaked at No. 21 and spent 19 weeks on the chart.

Circling back to “Here We Go (Uh Oh),” the Lenny Williams-sampling tune had early success on other charts on Billboard. Here’s a listing of its peaks:

  • Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay – No. 7
  • R&B Digital Song Sales – No. 8
  • R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay – No. 9
  • Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs – No. 40
  • Rhythmic Airplay – No. 40

On Billboard this week, “Here We Go (Uh Oh)” has climbed to No. 5 on the Hot R&B Songs chart, marking her highest entry to date and surpassing “ICU,” which peaked at No. 6.

Jones’ recent Billboard chart rise follows “Here We Go (Uh Oh)” becoming her first No. 1 at R&B radio last week. It remains at the top for a second week with 2,243 spins, reaching over nine million audience impressions despite a decrease of 26 spins.

Nominated for two 2025 Grammys, “Here We Go (Uh Oh)” was released on May 3 via High Standardz/Def Jam. The song, produced by Cardiak and Wu10, samples Lenny Williams’ 1978 classic “’Cause I Love You.”

Jones shared the song’s inspiration in an exclusive interview with Rated R&B. “I think the music inspired the song concept because I feel like with the sample, it feels like this orchestra and like a mystery,” said Jones to Rated R&B.

She continued, “[It’s] like this mission is happening like 007 or something. I was like, ‘What could be the mission here?’ And the mission, I feel like, is to be free from this person that constantly comes back in — to get over that hurdle.”

“Here We Go (Uh Oh)” is one of three songs to be featured on Jones’ untitled debut album, which will be released in 2025.

Other songs to appear on the album include “Sweep It Up” and “Most Beautiful Design” featuring Future and London on da Track.

In other news, Jones has released a new holiday project, Coco By The Fireplace. It consists of four original songs, some of which she performed last week at NBC’s Christmas in Rockefeller Center.
