Since Elle Varner inked a deal with RCA Records in 2011, she has been on the rise. We haven’t heard much from the songstress as of lately, but Rap-Up TV reveals that there may be a ‘refill’ of her music coming up very shortly.
According to Varner’s recent Rap-Up TV interview, she’s finally giving us an update on her music as she talks about her sophomore album. Even though her last album may have been ‘Perfectly Imperfect,’ she promises that this next album is ‘unbelievable.’ So much, in fact, that she claims everyone is proclaiming that the “sophomore slump” theory doesn’t apply when it comes to her new album.
“This new album is unbelievable,” raves Varner about her upcoming LP. “I have to keep reminding myself it’s real. Everybody says to me, ‘Congratulations! Sophomore slump, what?’ That’s all I have to say about it and get ready.”
Even though Varner is apt and ready to release the first single off the LP, she states that she is waiting for the label to push it out and that we should be prepared for it any day or week. There are a few different surprises up to bat for this new project. First, is the title of the album. The California native says that it is something that hasn’t been done before and that she can’t even explain it if she wanted to because it’s not even a word. A title that’s not even in the English dictionary seems to be quite fascinating.
If that doesn’t create enough anticipation, Varner surprisingly reveals that the album has no features as of yet. If this remains true, it just means that we will have more talented singers to go around. Aside from features, Varner did work with great record producers such as Eric Hudson, Hit-Boy, DJ Dahi and Da Internz.
