R&B songstress Elle Varner recently sat down with VIBE.com for an interview, where she revealed details from her upcoming album and her new relationship with NBA athlete Iman Shumpert.
“It’s been a journey,” the 24-year-old singer said. “I’ve gone through different album titles, different moods and feelings. Now I’m coming back to writing on the guitar, which is how I started to begin with.”
Elle Varner said her focus for the new album is to show people her true identity as a musician, singer and songwriter.
The California native singer told VIBE that she has matured since her last album, and will use her second album to showcase that.
Iman Shumpert, who is also a talented rapper, inspires her to take risks, according to the “Refill” singer. She also hinted that there may be a possible musical collaboration between the two lovebirds.
