Kehlani has joined Babyface for his new single “Seamless.”
The legendary singer, songwriter and producer confirmed the track was recorded in April 2021, sharing a video of his and Kehlani’s studio session.
“Seamless” is the second song unveiled from Babyface’s forthcoming album Girls’ Night Out. He previously dropped “Keeps on Fallin’” featuring Ella Mai on June 17. The two performed the duet that same month at the 2022 BET Awards. The song is currently at No. 12 on Billboard’s Adult R&B chart.
Babyface’s Girls’ Night out, arriving on Oct. 29, marks his first full-length since 2015’s Return Of The Tender Lover and his first album for Capitol Records.
Beyond Mai and Kehlani, he’s tapped labelmate Queen Naija, Doechii, Ari Lennox and many more for the forthcoming record.
“I am very excited about the upcoming album and everyone on it,” said Babyface. “The process for it reminded me of when I did Waiting to Exhale and I’m excited for the world to hear.”

Additionally, Babyface landed his fifth No. 1 single on the R&B radio and Billboard charts for “No Stoppin’ Us,” on which Charlie Wilson leads and K-Ci Hailey and Johnny Gill feature.
Kehlani is currently on a lengthy tour, supporting their latest album Blue Water Road. The album, executive produced by Pop Wansel, was released April 29 via TSNMI/Atlantic Records. Kehlani shared “Altar,” “Little Story,” and the Justin Bieber-assisted “Up at Night” ahead of Blue Water Road.
In addition to Bieber, Kehlani recruited Blxst, Jessie Reyez, Thundercat, Ambré, and Syd, whose new album (Broken Hearts Club) features Kehlani.
Along with releasing a music video for “Melt,” co-directed and co-starring their partner 070 Shake, Kehlani received a gold award for “I Like Dat” with T-Pain.
