Usher adds another number one single to his resume. “Bad Habits,” the R&B legend’s latest single, produced by Pierre Medor and Lxrd Rossi, has pushed out Trey Songz’s “Back Home” from the top slot on the urban adult contemporary radio chart. The song driven by temptation claims Usher’s second urban AC chart leader of 2020, preceded by the history-making “Don’t Waste My Time” featuring Ella Mai.
Since breaking through the top 10 urban AC field back in early October, “Bad Habits” has seen a six million listener impression increase (now over 12.5 million) and a generous spike of over 1,285 radio spins. This airplay love is sure to secure Usher’s second consecutive chart-topper on the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart this year.
Usher has yet to set an official release date for his forthcoming ninth studio album. Tentatively titled Confessions 2, the follow-up to 2016’s Hard II Love and 2018’s A is slated to arrive through Brand Usher, LLC/RCA Records and will feature the teary-eyed “I Cry” and the bedroom jam “Sexbeat” featuring Lil Jon and Ludacris.
Last month, Usher collaborated with Kiana Ledé for “This Day.” The uplifting track is featured in Netflix’s upcoming holiday musical, Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey. He also teamed up with masked electronic DJ/producer Marshmello and Kazakh producer and remixer Imanbek for the new EDM banger “Too Much.”
In July 2021, Usher is taking his talents to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for a Las Vegas residency. Tickets are available now.
